Experience the rhythm of Virginia aviation during "A Wednesday Night at Richmond and Charlottesville" on February 25th, 2026! This event offers pilots complete flexibility: fly into, out of, or between two of the Commonwealth's key airports.

From 2359z to 0300z, the choice is yours. Operate into the historic capital gateway of Richmond International (KRIC), navigate the scenic approaches into Charlottesville Albemarle (CHO), or connect the two fields with a short regional hop. This session provides the unique opportunity to experience both airports fully staffed, allowing you to craft your own perfect flight into Virginia—whether you're arriving from afar, departing to another destination, or flying locally. Join us for a dynamic night of flying in your chosen aircraft!

Please join me in congratulating Arya Chandrasekharan on his promotion to Deputy Air Traffic Manager! Arya comes from a different ARTCC where he was an instructor and helped assist in the events department. Arya brings some outstanding ideas for the continued growth and development of our facility and I am looking forward to working with him in his new role.

Hey, it’s us. Yeah, we’re a week late to Valentine’s Day and we didn’t get you anything this year…just kidding! We got you an awesome FNO!

This February, we invite you to join us in New York (and New Jersey) as we spread the love above the famous New York skyline. All of your favorite New York fields will be open, including Newark (EWR), LaGuardia (LGA), and Kennedy (JFK), so take your pick and show the network some love in the Big Apple!

Calling all the pilots. With Super Bowl 2026 taking place at Levi's Stadium this year, ZOA presents Hail Mary in the Bay! Let this be an enjoyable way to spend your time before the big game the next day. We'll see you on the scopes, cheering on your favorite team.

Booking Info This event is a slotted event with slots bookable from 1/17/2026 at https://superbowl2026.oakartcc.org/. These will be based on arrival times into the event airports of SMF, SJC, HWD, LVK, MOD, SCK.

Reminder This event falls under COC B12 "During events and periods of high traffic, a pilot may be issued traffic management initiatives (e.g., ground stops, Expect Departure Clearance Time (EDCT), Calculated Takeoff Time (CTOT), etc.). When such an initiative is in effect, a pilot is obligated to abide by the initiative. A pilot shall not circumvent these initiatives."  Controllers are authorized to delay or ground stop traffic that is not part of the event, especially when volumes exceed capacity. This includes aircraft not holding an official event slot or not adhering to pre-arranged flow procedures.
