The Classroom (Controller Tips) / Re: Computer Monitor set-up?
« Last post by Gary Frothingham on January 08, 2025, 08:24:56 PM »
The XPS 13 uses Thunderbolt 3  port to connect a monitor.

https://cybertechnosys.com/how-to-connect-monitor-to-dell-xps-13/

'Dell provides a Thunderbolt 3 port on the XPS 13, allowing you to connect an external monitor that supports USB-C or Thunderbolt 3.
If you have an external monitor that supports HDMI, you can use the Dell USB-C to HDMI Adapter to connect the monitor to your XPS 13.

https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/what-is-thunderbolt/#dt-heading-thunderbolt-3-vs-thunderbolt-4

Seems thunderbolt technology makes it an expensive upgrade, but a monitor that supports USB-C
seems more reasonable.

First off, please join me in thanking Mike Bencivenga for his time as the ZKC TA. Mike was instrumental in getting the ZKC training department revitalized and established. Unfortunately, real world obligations have limited Mike and we thank him for his service on the network and off the network as a service member for our country. Hats off, MB!

With this, please welcome Austin Jenkins as the next TA at ZKC. Austin brings a wealth of knowledge as an I1 of ZKC and formerly of ZFW, FE at ZKC and ZFW, and former ZFW EC. Austin has the skills and knowledge to grow the training department further and continue the pursuit of greatness we are striving for. Austin will continue to serve on as our Facilities Engineer as well, of which we are very thankful for. Welcome, AK!
