Indy Center is looking for an Events Team Manager.
Interested in helping Indy Center continue to grow? The Events Team is responsible for planning and execution of events for Indy Center and their neighbors. They also coordinate with pilot groups, such as virtual airlines, to plan partner events.

Position: Events Team Manager
Time Commitment: 2 hours per week administrative duties, 1 hour per month controlling.
Supervisor: Indianapolis ARTCC Deputy Air Traffic Manager

We are looking for an excited and experienced leader and team members to join us in this important role. Indy Center is a quickly growing, vibrant, well integrated, pilot and controller community in the Midwest USA. While ZID might be 'overflight country,' if you land- you'll want to stay for a while.

Requirements:

• VATSIM Student 2 (S2), or higher rating.
  Have no significant disciplinary record.
  Have no history of unprofessional behavior.
  Be an active member of the network in good standing on the VATSIM network.
  Be a home controller at the time of appointment (or willing and eligible to transfer upon selection).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the Indy Center Community, and ZID airspace/controller procedures.
  High level understanding of VATUSA Policy and Procedure
  VATUSA Event Staff Experience
  Social media and/or graphic design experience

Today, BVA hosted a launch event for our new BVA Special Operations (BVASO) group. Born out of the original “BVA Military,” BVASO sets forth a new mission statement to not only provide realistic military training and operations within the Boston ARTCC (ZBW), but also grow and expand to include a number of real-world ZBW aviation-related services and simulations such as Search & Rescue, Medevac, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR).

BVA and ZBW are home to a great number of professional, real-world aviation units, and the newly reformed BVASO is excited to bring simulations such as Boston MedFlight, LifeFlight of Maine, Massachusetts State Police, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team, and many others.

The Memphis ARTCC (ZME) is seeking a qualified, professional, and motivated individual that possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Deputy Air Traffic Manager. Applicants should note that this position requires a significant time commitment.

Key Responsibilities
•   Reports to the ATM.
•   Front-Line Manager to the Facilities & Events Department.
•   Monitors the day-to-day activities of the ARTCC.
•   Assists in the development and execution of ARTCC projects & initiatives.
•   Maintains an online presence on VATSIM.
•   Functions as ARTCC senior staff member. Attends periodic meetings to report on ARTCC activities.
•   Assists in running activity checks as required per ARTCC policy.
•   Assumes the duties of the ATM when he is unavailable.
•   Any other duty assigned by the ATM.

Minimum Requirements
•   Currently hold a rating of Senior Student (S3) or higher for at least 90 days at the candidate’s current facility.
•   Works well in a team-oriented environment.
•   Demonstrates excellent leadership skills.
•   Be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing with no significant disciplinary actions in the last 12 months.
•   Strong knowledge of the U.S. Airspace and Air Traffic Control systems & procedures.
•   Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
•   Previous or current ARTCC staff experience.
•   Have held a rating of I1 for at least 90 days at any given time prior to application date.
•   Supervisory or management experience (virtual/real world).
