General Discussion / New pilot to VATSIM
« Last post by William Archer on September 28, 2024, 03:32:52 PM »
I was working at KTUS as the ground controller and a New pilot request a VFR clearance. After providing the clearance the pilot was unable to taxi correctly and just quit.
Is there anyway to contact this pilot he needs help so he does not lose interests? All I have is first name and the airfield he entered in as home field?

News / Salt Lake City has a new TA!
« Last post by Harry Linsenmayer on September 22, 2024, 12:54:11 PM »
Please join me in welcoming ZLC's newest TA, Daniel Kormendy! Daniel has been apart of the ZLC training staff on and off for just over a year, and has been an instructor for nearly 6 months. Daniel has also been a key member of the ZLC community for over 3 years. Thank you Daniel for stepping up, and welcome to the senior staff!

I'd also like to give a huge thanks to Mike Bencivenga for his time and commitment to the TA role over the last year. Mike served as TA for not just ZLC, but simultaneously ZDV during his tenure. Mike has been a massive asset to ZLC for the entire time he has been here, and I'd like to wish him luck as he moves on to become senior staff at ZKC. Additionally, big thanks to him for staying around as the interim TA until we could find a new one.

Prepare for an eerie evening as you attempt to navigate RNP legs that twist like spirits in the night. Stay alert for those mortifying moments when you find yourself hauntingly high above the glideslope, with "drag required" creeping up in your FMC. Will you conquer the Haunted Headwinds, or will you vanish into the clouds? Your fate is up to you.
